Class Reunion - 25 years

Wow, I can't believe it has been 25 years.  I can't say that I have missed school AT ALL.  Some of my worst nightmares are that I am back in high school again.  It wasn't really that bad, but I just don't want to relive that part of my life.  But, the reunion was SUPER fun!!  There weren't that many of us there, but the ones that were there had a good time.
Janice, me, Holly
Holly was my best friend ever since kindergarten.  We actually went to kindergarten in her mom's basement, which was right across the street from my house.  Janice moved into our neighborhood our Freshman year and she fit right in with our little group.

Melanie, Tina and Monique

Monique was always the life of the party and this night was no different.  She was a blast and we had so much fun.

The girl in the sweat shirt is Michelle Hunter.  She moved away after our sophomore year, but came back for the reunion anyway.

I am pretty sure that I was not taking a picture of Holly's behind.  Some of these pictures were taken by Tina (also the life of the party) so I borrowed them from her.

Tina and Robert (our class president)

Cody, Janice, Robert, me, Mitch's head and Holly

These are all the people that showed up (except Darin Spitz he showed up later).  They are:
Connie Struck, Thelma Williams, Mitch Mendenhall, Michele Ripplinger, Robert Drewes, Jared McDaniel, Monique Virgin, Kale Bergeson, TL Schindler, Cody Olsen, Janel Sharp, Michelle Hunter, Melanie Parkinson, Cozette Steel, Steven Stoddard, second row Quinn Nelson, Shawn Edgington, Kay Burrell, Matt Blanchard, Tina Sutton, Holly Orr and Janice Christiansen

Me, Cozette

Cody & Janice

Holly & Matt (they are cousins and he went to kindergarten with us)

Thelma

Kay and his pretty wife.  They were so nice and let us have the reunion at their house.  Thanks Kay for a great night!!

Utah - Scrapbooking

I went to Utah a few months ago with Tiff and Allisa to scrapbook and I just found these pictures on my phone, since I didn't take my camera.  So, I thought I better blog them.  We left on Thursday and didn't come home until Sunday and I got a ton done, I wa pretty proud of myself. The bad thing about going somewhere else to scrapbook is the extra baggage, but I didn't think I did too bad for 4 days.

Allisa lets Tiff and I ride up front since we are so much older than her. Silly girl.
We ate the first night at a Chinese restaraunt in Bountiful, it was so yummy.  Allisa's friend had an apartment in Bountiful, so that is where we stayed.
In all the pictures where we are at dinner, please note Tiffnie is and I are sitting by each other.  We are both left handed, so it really works best if we sit by each other and the right handed people sit by each other.  In looking at these pictures, I am really glad I got my camera, my phone doesn't have a flash, as you can plainly see.  Sorry they are so dark.  Tonia met us there Friday and she scrapbooked with us the rest of the weekend.  We had a lot of fun.

Ashlin's St.Anthony Shower

Ashlin is my cute cute niece and she is getting married to cute cute Matt (see one of my previous posts of their engagements pics.)  We had a shower for her in St. Anthony with all of our SHARP friends and relatives.  I was not in possession of my camera most of the day and after I looked at the pictures I did take I was a little disappointed with myself.  That being said, here are a few of the pictures that actually turned out.  (I will do much better at the reception)!!!
Kelsie, Michael, Ashlin
They were all looking at Nakia, she was asking questions about Matt and Ashlin got a lot of them right, it was pretty impressive.
Gaven, Jerika, Sydney, Michael, Keslie, & Mandy
The lady sitting by Mandy used to work with Denni (Ashlin's mom)

You really can't see who these people are, they are so far away.  Anyway, it is Ashlin, Alaina Sharp (married to my cousin Travis), Aunt Zenda, Gaye Orr (my bestest friend Holly's mom), Nancy Barker (the best next door neighbor ever growing up), Afton Wasden (my amazing aunt, who happens to life right across the street from mom and dad), Aubrey Bowman's pretty hair (her mom grew up next door to us and her and Ash ended up being friends too) and Judy Thueson (our next door neighbor on the other side of us growing up.)

More people you really can't see, mom is over on the left taking pictures and next to her is Crystal and Heidi (both cousins of mine), the large lading in the purple is blocking the cute skinny lady behind her, which is Tracy Sharp (married to my nephew Shawn Sharp) and then in front of the door is Linda (sister in law) and then the two ladies Denni worked with (not sure of their names) and then Kinlee is front and center.  I just realized my other sister in law Cindy dodged all of the pictures taken with my camera and I don't think I have any of Nakia either, but they were both there.

Isn't she so cute and look at that pretty hair.

KaReena and Gaven

Lydia, Brayli & Kinlee

Fabric mom bought for her quilt.

Nakia, KaReena, Cindy & I got her a whole basket full of fun stuff.  One of the things that was in the basket was one of her moms old sweaters that she LOVED from Christopher and Banks.  After her mom died, I kept the sweater and we decided to have something made out of it when she got married.  Well, mom made a throw pillow out of it just this week, but when we gave her the sweater she got all teary.  We also got her a really pretty purple nighty, well mom happened to pick up my camera and I picked up hers (yes this is one of the hazards of having matching cameras) and it just so happened moms shot that was on my camera was not really focused.  So, that picture is not being included on the blog.  Happy Shower Ashy, I hope you had a nice day!!  We love you!!!!!!!!

On a side note regarding pictures, here is my story about why I take so many pictures.  When Ashlin's mom died several years ago (I have decided not to count the years, it just makes me sad) we looked through pictures for an obituary picture and just for memory sake.  Well, come to find out nobody really had taken many pictures in the years leading up to her death (part of that was because she didn't like her picture taken too).  We have some, but not as many as I would have liked to have had for the girls.  Since it was too late to take pictures of her, I decided that was one regret I could actually fix and made a goal to do better in the future.  Well, I have taken so many pictures since then and I really do make some people angry, however I know they will thank me later, at least that is what I tell myself.  So, that is why I am a picture freak!!

Carlson + Chadwick = FUN

The Carlsons and Chadwicks went camping on Father's Day weekend and Ray wanted to go there for the day and hang out, so that is what we did.
Terry & DeAnn

Princess Jerika (her and I got a little too much sun).  Marsha did too, but I guess I didn't get any pictures of her, except the one where I am with her and I look really really fat, so I didn't post it.

Ray and his best buddy Brandon.

Dougy

Guess who.

Allisa, she's the bomb yo

Jerika decided she wanted Ray to teach her how to ride the motorcyle.  I was closing my eyes, so I am still not quite sure how that all turned out.

All the kiddos with their helmets on.  Kinlee didn't get sunburned except for the top of her hands from holding onto the handle bars of the 4 wheeler ALL DAY.

This is Jerika getting ready to take off.  I'm not sure that bike is big enough for 2.

Kinlee & Mya...we really didn't see much of them all day, they refused to get off the 4 wheelers.  I think it took a lot of coaxing to get them to even come and eat lunch.

Four Wheelers - Mountains

I know my pics are crazy, just trying to mix it up a little again, and it didn't work very well.  I also have some sideways pics too, wow mixing it up is right!!  Someone we know bought some 4 wheelers, so we went riding.

This is all of us on our way to the hills.  It was a pretty crazy day and at one point I REALLY freaked out.  It was a little too mountainous for this inside person.  Ray realized it wasn't looking good for his team, so he toned it down a lot and we just stayed  on the roads and not the trails way up high.  After that it was pretty fun.  I rode with Jerika on my 4 wheeler and Mauna and Kinlee were on a 4 wheeler and Ray rode his bike.

I realize this picture is sideways if anyone knows how to fix that, please feel free to let me know.
I am not sure why we took a picture from the bathroom of the pickup and 4 wheelers, but here it is, I guess maybe we thought someone would wonder.

Jerika & I after we came down the moutain of death.  It was a little chilly and I am glad I had my hoody, because without it, my hat would have blown off.  What you can't see is the angry/relieved look on my face that we didn't die on the way down.  I always plan for the worst when I venture outside.  At least I was a good wife and agreed to actually go on this little outing.
Ray wasn't very happy with me and my little meltdown.  Then while he was trying to get us down, there was a tree on the trail and he had to get the 4 wheelers around and instead of putting the 4 wheeler in reverse, he put it in drive and kind of ran into the other 4 wheeler.  I tried to tell him it just doesn't pay to get angry with me.  I would have stayed home and been fine with it.
Needless to say, I haven't really been invited on another outing with Mauna and Ray. I am sure that if I really wanted to go, they would take me, but I just don't think I am ready yet.

Cooling off a little (so as not to freak out on the wife.)  Isn't everyone so cute in their biking gear.  I even had on my own "biking" shirt underneath my fancy white hoody.  I have to admit it was really pretty out there in the forest and once we got off the mountain I enjoyed things much more and I think I actually went a little over 25 miles per hour.
Kinlee and Ray had on their helmets and goggles.  The girls both have their own helmets, but Jerika was so sunburned from work that week that she couldn't even get hers over her very red ears.  She worked planting flowers and putting weeds for a week.  It was a really good experience for my little princess who doesn't like getting dirty (I know I have created a monster).

This too is sideways, it was a little water fall along the ride.  Once again one of these days I will learn to turn the pictures.  It just usually used to do it by itself, maybe it is my new camera.

Gma Walker on her 4 wheeler.  She goes really fast and doesn't like it when I whine.

ALL DONE!!!  Yeah, lets go eat now!!
I feel as if this may be one of the longest posts I have ever done.  I also feel as if I have been rambling.  However, I am not going back to change anything or to read anything, so I hope it is all spelled right and that have enjoyed my little rampage.  I will go again, maybe when it is huckleberry time we can go.
