People were so good. We had people bringing us food and everything else you can think of. It was so nice being closer to home but also having family and friends so close. It was such a blessing having her moved to Utah and I will NEVER not say it was a miracle.

November 21
Brenna tried and tried to get all the snarls out of Kinlee's hair. But, then we decided that it would be best to just cut it. The only person that disagreed with us was the Nurse Practitioner. Everyone else could see it getting caught in tubes and wires and everything else around her. It also would upset her every time someone tried to comb it or do anything with it.
BTW WE LOVE THIS PLACE THE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING AND SO GOOD TO OUR GIRL.
Blake was on the phone quite a bit, but would usually leave the room.
I was so thankful Jerika could stay for a few days.
MY HEART NEEDED HER AND SHE NEEDED US.
I don't know why this screenshot was on this day, but I thought since it was there I would share it again.
NIGHTMARE AFTER NIGHTMARE.
There was a lot of googling during Kinlee's stay. I know the nurses got tired of me asking so many questions, but I wanted to know EVERYTHING and why certain things were happening. But some times I just decided to look online.
November 20 Part 6
Once again out of order, maybe start at the bottom. But we are in Utah and couldn't be happier. Ray and I were talking the other day (current day June, 2026) and trying to remember what happened the first night we were in Utah. I am thinking that since we weren't able to stay with her in California that we decided to not stay with her in Utah. So, he stayed with Blake at the hotel and Jerika and I stayed with Ashlin. We told them to call us if they needed anything. Well, I guess that first night was a nightmare and she was not well. She almost fell out of bed among other things. So, we decided from then on that one of us would stay with her every night. We got a discount at the local hotel for 10 stays. But Blake's mom rented him an airbnb for a week. Then he would go home and work and come back on his off days (or so we thought). He came when he could I guess and was very supportive when he was there. For the first few weeks Ray and I both stayed every night, usually with one of us on each side of her as she tried to kick herself out of bed constantly throughout the night. It was exhausting and Ray usually slept in a recliner and I slept on the very uncomfortable couch.
She really was so excited to see Jerika it was like she knew who she was from the beginning. We are still very unclear about who and what she knew those first days, but I am quite certain she knew exactly who her sister was.
November 20 Part 5
We have arrived in Utah. Taking her off the plane was a little crazy steep. It really freaked out our driver, he started to run toward the plane because he thought she was going to roll away.
She opened her eyes really wide when the brought her out into the sun.
Now we head to Western Peaks Specialty Hospital. AND JERIKA
November 20 Part 4
The plane was very comfortable and the nurses and pilots were amazing and so kind.
Once we got into the air, the nurse turned around and asked me "how were you able to get us here"? I said what do you mean? She said we don't usually do flights like this, we usually just do emergent flights. That's when I really knew how blessed we truly were. I told them that my cousins husband Rex works for their company and they said that explains it. Kinlee didn't need to be on the ventilator the entire flight (yay breathing on her own). It was a really fast flight compared to our flight there. It took us only and hour and a half to get to Salt Lake. Blake fell asleep (out of order pictures again). Like I said before I am posting these late by several months so looking at these right now is very hard. I know I've said it before but we loved Blake and was so happy he was part of our family. It makes me really sad for him that he doesn't get to be a part of the new Kinlee's life, boy is he missing out. Its sad that whatever lies his parents told him about us sunk in and he believed them.
November 20 Part 3
Once again the pictures are a little out of order. This one was us pulling up to the airplane. We were so blessed that we were able to make this happen and that were all able to fly with our cute girl.
November 20 Part 2
THE FLIGHT TEAM HAS ARRIVED AND THE AMBULANCE TEAM THAT WENT TO THE WRONG HOSPITAL. EVIDENTLY THERE IS MORE THAN 1 SHARP HOSPITAL.
We were just so freaking glad they were there that we could have hugged all of them. Our driver was a little irritated because they were late and he had to wait much longer than anticipated, but he was very kind when we got in the car. None of us were able to ride in the ambulance because it was too crowded.
I just love this girl so much and we are so thankful she is alive. I can't even explain to you what MAGIC she is to be around.
