Photography class

The City of Rexburg in its summer activities offered a 1 1/2 day photography class, so Becky (my work friend) and I decided to sign up. It was Friday and Saturday of last week and boy did we learn ALOT!! And it was really fun too. I learned how to use my camera to best of its ability and then on Saturday we learned how to use photoshop. These pictures below are pictures that I took Friday night during the class. We all went out to the old sugar mill in Parker and it was really informative and fun, I had never been there. Below are just a few of the pictures I took. None of these have been photoshopped. I have my first large family photoshoot scheduled the weekend of July 17, well my first since my class. I guess we will really see then how much I learned.

Manti Pageant

Mom and Dad came and went to the pageant with us and it did stop raining. It was freezing cold, but at least we were dry. It was a really fun trip. We followed mom and dad home from Manti and stopped at Shelby's house, then we went to dinner at Joe's crap shack for fathers day.
And the stopped at a few other places then headed home. Ray was glad to see us and we spent the rest of fathers day night with him.

Then the next day, which was Monday I didn't feel super hot, so I stayed home from work and then Ray found out that morning that his company was shutting their doors. He did find a job and went to work full time today. It is still truck driving, but it is a job and we feel really lucky that he was able to find a job at all, let alone so fast. So, now back to regular life at our house.

Katrina's House

Katrina is my cousin and her family came to stay with us in November when they came to Afton's birthday party. Anyway, our kids really hit it off, so we decided we would go stay with them and go to the Manti pageant, which is what started this whole trip idea to begin with anyway. So, we go to Manti late afternoon and Friday and they kind of showed us around Manti and then we went back to their house and watched a movie and just rested. Then later we had a barbeque with Ann and Brent and Amy. The Saturday we went and did some things in Ephram and Manti in the rain. It was so rainy all day and I really worried that we would be rained out for the pageant, but they kept telling me that it never rains on the pagent.

Keston - poor guy he was surrounded by girls all weekend because Andy was working most the time.

Kinlee and Riley - When Riley wasn't working, they were joined at the hip, even though there is almost a 10 year age difference.

Katrina and Lexi - We had such a good time. I will post some pictures that I took of the temple too.

Jerika & Lexi - They had so much fun together, and they text constantly now that we are home.

Next Stop - Spanish Fork

We left Holly's house Friday morning at 11 and stopped in between Lehi and spanish fork at some truck stop because Ray was there. His boss needed him home asap, so we only saw him for a minue. Then we met Tricia (my old roommate) and 3 of her 4 kids for lunch in Spanish Fork. It was really fun to see them we hadn't seen the boys for years. Sorry Tonia, next time I promise to stay at your house, if you are sure you can handle us!! Dawson, Tyler and Tyler's girlfriend (I can't believe I forgot her name)

Dillon, Jerika & I

Tricia, Kinlee and Dawson

Holly's House

I tried to put this at the end of this post, but it didn't work. I really need to figure this out.
Anyway, Kinlee fell asleep in McKenzie's bed while we were talking late. Luckily McKenzie was at girls camp, so we didn't have to kick her out this time.

So, my good friend Holly was really nice at the last minute to let us come and stay at her house. Since Ray couldn't go, I called her the day before we wanted to stay at her house. We were going to get a hotel, but though Holly's house would be much more fun!! She was so nice to cook us dinner and breakfast. But the most fun was the late night talking that we get to do when we stay there. We really don't see each other often so it was a lot of fun.

Jerika, Madison & Kinlee

Holly & I after a very long day. I was showing her facebook and trying to get her to get her very own facebook. No luck yet.

Thanksgiving Point

Wow, we really did a lot this day. We wanted to miss rush hour between Sandy and Lehi, so we didn't shop too late, but then we decided we might show up at Holly's too early. So, we decided to stop at Thanksgiving point. I had driven by it quite a few times and had never stopped, so we just thought we would stop and see what they had. We didn't have a ton of time so we went to the petting farm part of it and we were able to go on a carriage ride, I guess that is what you call it. We had lots of fun. We will have to go back again and go to the other things there.

After we left Thanksgiving Point, we headed for Holly's house. And....since I don't know how to add anymore pictures to this post, I a going to start a new one.

Utah - Part of Day 2

Our original plan was to leave for Utah on Wed. and shop on the way and then on Thursday we were going to Lagoon. Well, since Ray wasn't able to go with us, we didn't go to Lagoon and it changed our plans quite a bit. No, I am not bitter that Ray was not able to come. Okay I wasn't bitter until Monday of this week and that day I was slightly bitter. Anyway, we went to breakfast Thursday morning and then we went to a place called Hollywood Connection. It is right by the E center in West Valley. They had a few smaller rides, like a merry go round, a dragon roller coaster (which I did ride on with Jerika and it was pretty crazy for a little coaster), an air balloon ride, a bus ride that is a little version of a magic carpet ride, and the big hit was the bumper cars. We also went miniature golfing. The girls had a fun time and we stayed for quite a few hours. I took a ton of pictures and here are just a few of them. Stay tuned for more pictures and details on our fun trip.

Trip to Utah

We just spent 5 fun filled days in Utah, and by we I mean the girls and I, Ray wasn't able to get off work. Isn't it ironic that he lost his job the day we got home. Whatever. Anyway, I have a ton of pictures, but I will just start with a few tonight since it is late. We left on Wednesday morning at 7:30. Our first stop was the Layton mall and we did some serious damage there. But some school shopping, so it was good. Then we went to Super Target in Centerville and did some other shopping here and there before we ended up at Shelby's (my brother) house. That night we went to Tepanyaki for dinner and the girls had so much fun, especially Kinlee. It was funny to watch her watch the guy cooking right in front of us. After dinner we went back to Shelby's house and spent the night.

We took these pictures with our cell phones. But at least we got pictures. I tried to take my camera with me everywhere else we went.

CRAFT FAIR

Okay, so I just typed this and somehow deleted it, so here it goes again. If any of you are just dying to see my watches and will be available tomorrow, I will be in Idaho Falls doing a craft fair. We will be at the Walmart in Ammon in the parking lot. It is on the same side of town as the mall and I will be there from 10 am to 6 pm (weather permitting, pray for us). Nakia will also be there with her vinyl lettering. If you can make it, come and see us!! If you can't make it, remember I have watch bands and faces at Traditions in Rigby.

Carter's Baptism

Here's the Sharp family minus KaReena and her family, we really missed them!! I am going to be taking a Photoshop class at the end of the month, so maybe I can photoshop them in. It is usually Ray that is gone, but he was there. I guess I should have had him stand on the end so that after I fixed my camera I could have been standing by him instead of my nephews. I really hate it when I can't take the picture and get everyone lined up where I want them, but I think after I cropped this one it turned out okay. We are really proud of Carter!! And today, Sunday, Derek was ordained an Elder and we are really proud of him too. Good job guys!!

BYU Women's Conference

Me, Tiff Angie & Brooke.

We found some cheap and comfy p.j.s and we all really liked them so we each bought a different color. Angie didn't want to match us or something, I think she felt bad later. Thanks for taking the picture Ang.

Dinner the first night we were there.

Tiff's sister Tonia met us for dinner. She is a blast!!

May was a busy month, but it was really fun. I was able to go to BYU Women's Conference with some of my friends. It was a busy few days with a lot of walking and running and waiting in lines to use the bathroom, however, I did have a really good time. I wasn't sure at first, but I am glad that I went and would definately go again. One of my favorite things was the concert on Thursday night. There were 5 or 6 different people and one group that performed, well worth the entire entrance fee for womens conference. I was pretty proud of myself, when running or speed walking to our classes, I kept up with the others and didn't even pass out when I got to the class rooms. We also fit in some shopping while we were there, of course. All in all it was totally worth going, it was nice to get away. Thanks for inviting me girls!!
