Kinlee's last day of school June 1

She's done with her Sophomore year after today.  Kinlee had to take two more tests so she is went to school on this day but I am not going to make her go tomorrow because they are letting the kid out at 10. So she is checking out today and not going back until her Jr. year.  She still doesn't have her drivers license because she didn't get the best grades.  But, I am ok with that I am not really ready for her to drive yet.

Almost a Year

It has almost been a year since our trip to New York.  I follow the hotel we stayed at on Facebook and they posted this picture the other day and I thought it was amazing.  So, I am sharing because I want to go back and I think since this is even purple it is a sign we need to go back soon.

Heather from Work

I love this girl, she makes going to work so much better, I don't know what I would do without her.  We had to dress up to get our "professional" head shots taken.  She got a picture with her assistant and she wanted a picture with me but Alison told her no, so Manuela took our picture for us together.  I now notice that I am twice her size.  But her personality is so much larger than mine.

Self Reliance Class

Our Stake did a pilot program that ended up being a great opportunity for Ray and I.  It was a 12 week class about Self Reliance and getting our finances in order.  I just realized then I started writing this blog post that we didn't take any pictures during the whole thing.  Maybe because it was on Sunday and maybe it was that the classes were 2 hours long and we were ready to get out on time, I don't know.  I do know we made a lot of new friends that we will have for life and we also learned a lot about our finances and other things with scripture references included.  It really was a blessing in our lives and we were lucky to be chosen to take the class.

Road Trip and Sealing May 26 and 27

So, these two "new" people on my blog are the 2 new girls at work.  They are my new Jennie and Bonnie.  Sadly, I am old enough to be their mom and someone even asked them that this weekend while I was with them.  Anyway, Rachel is in the middle and she is a convert to the church.  She married her husband last year in California and so her and her husband Tim got sealed in the Salt Lake temple so Karly, the one on the left and I decided to take a road trip and see her sealed.  I had never been in the Salt Lake Temple so I was pretty excited.  We left after work on Friday and stopped at Maddox for dinner because she had never eaten there.  It was so good, it never does disappoint, but this time I decided to take pictures of my food.  After that we went to spend the night with Shelby and Catie, it was so much fun even though we weren't there very long.  I would have taken a picture of them but I didn't want to upset Shelby in the short time I was there.  We got up early and headed to the temple and made it in time to go to the visitor center.  Then afterward we went to a yummy place downtown to eat (I can't remember what it was called) but I took pictures of the food there too.  We had talked about shopping but by the time we were done at lunch we both were tired and ready to be home.  We did of course stop and get cookies at the Layton mall, I couldn't pass that up.

Birthday Boys 5/20/2017

Maybe I should start putting the date things actually happened since it takes me forever to get things blogged.  Carter and Ray have birthdays 2 days apart so we celebrated their birthdays at Sunday dinner at the grandparents.  How cute are these two?  Carter is 16 and Ray is 48.

After Open House

After the open house we decided to go to Plum Loco for lunch.  We were celebrating Mothers Days, Rays Birthday and we thought Tyler's birthday too.  Well, Mauna and Terry came but Tyler and Molly were a no show so we celebrated without them.  We only took this picture of me "holding" the fish and no others, which I am not really sure why.

On the way home we stopped at Dairy Queen for Ray's birthday ice cream.  Jerika and Cade had to head home right after lunch.  It was super fun spending time with them though.
I just love my family.

Look Who Came Home to Visit

We just love it when Jerika and Cade come home to visit, even Justice and Amanda came over to see them too.

Jake is usually excited to see Cade and really just tolerates Jerika.

My Desk

So, those of you who know me know the drama of my desk at work.  I posted about it when I first came back from my sabbatical LAST YEAR!!!  Well it finally got fixed and I can actually stand to work at it now.  It was such a struggle for me to deal with the idiots that we ordered the desk from.  I have never in my life dealt with such neglect from a place that was supposed to be taking care of their customers.  It is probably a good thing I don't know where they even ordered it from because I would not be nice at all and I wouldn't recommend them ever to anyone.  I am happy now, well I be next week when we replace that clock, it isn't my favorite, we need something a little more retro.

Mother's Day

Saturday fun

Kinlee had piano lessons, then we went to pick up Ray's fancy new glasses and then went to Idaho Falls to buy a new flat iron and had lunch.

Miscellaneous stuff

I don't even know.....

I had a discussion with Daryl on the phone at work and these were my notes.  It was interesting, I hope we accomplished something.

Kinlee and I went to dinner at Costa Vida.  It seems like we go out to eat more than we should.  But its so good and no mess.

Treats at work.  Gringos chips and salsa.

I am not sure why I took this picture.  They were rolls from the lunch lady sale at the school and I got these along with a bunch of yummy cookies.

The only flowers I have in my yard are liliacs in my backyard that nobody can even see unless you open the blinds in our addition.  They were really pretty this day but I was sitting in the recliner when I took the picture and didn't want get off my lazy butt and open the blinds.
