Homecoming Week Senior Year

This week was crazy insane to say the least.  The school secretary came into my office on Monday afternoon to do some stuff.  Kinlee has been an aide in the office with her this year and she also lives in our ward.  She loves Kinlee and was excited to tell me that Kinlee was nominated for Royalty for the Football Team.  Let me explain a little about Royalty at Sugar Salem High School.  Each club at the school has royalty.  So, that means the spanish club, the cheerleaders, the volleyball team, and so  on.  They nominate 2 seniors in each club to represent their club.  Well, with the football team there are no girls that play so the team nominates their girl representative.  And that was Miss Kinlee.  I was sworn to secrecy and told I had to wait until they school told her she had won.  So, that meant we needed to find a dress for the assembly.  Also on Monday Kinlee had still not been asked to the Homecoming dance, which was that coming Saturday night.  So, Wednesday was a pretty big day for her.  She got asked to the dance and was also told she was the Football representative for Royalty.  She was worried that there was some ulterior motive behind the football team nominating her but quickly found out after talking to a lot of the boys that they just really thought she was super nice and under appreciated.
This is how cute Porter asked her to the dance.

This is how she responded.

Then the dress hunt was on.  Our amazing neighbor has a dress rental business in her basement and fixed this dress up with sleeves and everything in 2 days.  Brooke Pinnock also found some cute dresses at Ross and bought them.  So, she chose this dress for the dance and....

Ou

This dress for the assembly and Half Time at the Football Game.

Every year they also get the students matching t-shirts to wear on the last day of the week.  They dress up the other days, but obviously I didn't get any pictures of those days.  But, I don't think Kinlee dressed up either.  But I could be wrong.
