Day 6 was Sunday, so we had decided ahead of time we would go to church that morning at 11. The cool thing about church is that we were able to go to church at the Temple in downtown Manhattan. The 3rd floor of the temple is actually a chapel and whole church building in one. We left the hotel and decided to walk and it was SEVERAL blocks. But we made it in plenty of time. The singles ward was just getting out when we got there. We sat down in the chapel and waited for it to start and while we were waiting the missionaries came in, there were 2 older sisters and an older couple. Justice looked at the one lady and said she thought that she had seen her in Rexburg at Brodi's getting her hair done. So, just for fun I decided to ask them where they were from and guess what, they were the Hollaway's from none other than Rexburg, Idaho. Such a small world for sure. The sister missionaries talked to us also and one of them was from Driggs and she is the aunt of my cousins Tiffany's husband. The church was pretty full and it went into the overflow also. When the 2nd counselor got up to conduct he said he had ridden up in the elevator with a couple from California and he had told them that their ward barely filled the chapel so everyone else was visitors. My favorite thing about church in NYC was the music, people sang so loud and with such feeling it was amazing. Also, after we had sung the third verse of every song, the chorister would put her hands down and the organist would play a solo, which was amazing by the way, and then we would sing the fourth verse. It was so powerful, I loved it and the rest hymn was even better because we all stood and it was even better. After the rest hymn, the cute sister missionary turned around and put her hand on my knee and asked, "what did you think of that." It was amazing. We only stayed for sacrament meeting and then went to do more sightseeing. We did notice however, when we walked out of the temple that Juilliard is right across the street from the temple, so we got to see it. My cute friend Jalayn told us to find a store called Century 21 while were there and we would love it and we just happened to find one on our way to Central Park. It was so hot and we were going to try to rent bikes to ride in Central Park but we were wearing dresses and made the snap decision to split the $100 to have petty cap drivers take us for 30 minutes around most of the park. We were able to see a few things in the part but didn't make it all the way through, the heat made it exhausting. But, we did see Tavern on the Green, we also saw the Plaza for away, the Friends fountain, the bridge from Home Alone and of course the pond oh and the Restaurant from Sex in the City. Our petty cab drivers were both from Russia and they were pretty fun. I still wish we would have done more in the park, but I know I said it before, it was so hot. After the part we got on the bus for the first time that day and evidently the girls were tired, because they were laying down on the bus. We saw the Guggenheim and went to The Met and had lunch and looked around the got back on the bus and drove through Harlem and passed the Apollo. Then we went back to the hotel and laid down for a minute and then Jerika and I decided to go down to the street fair by our hotel. We were able to find t shirts and hats and some other fun stuff and then we decided we needed to have a Street hot dog and pretzel. That night we went to a comedy show in Times Square, it was pretty funny and we made sure it was the "family friendly" show. After that we were starving and found a Benihana to have dinner at, it was super yummy. While we waited in the lobby to be seated we talked to the cutest gay couple (men) that you would have never suspected were gay, they were both body builder looking dudes. During dinner we are pretty sure we sat across from a table of members of the Mafia they were all men and looked totally like Mafia people you see on TV.
