Time to go home
We really struggled with how to get to the airport from our hotel the morning we left to head home. I don't know if I mentioned this before or not, but packing for 3 adult women is not a small task and therefore we had a lot of luggage. We even had more on the way home because of the purchases we made. So, we couldn't decide what would be cheaper, an UBER or a taxi that would fit our stuff. There are usually taxis parked outside our hotel and so we just decided to take a chance and hopefully find one big enough, since Uber was going to cost us about $75, eeek. We got super lucky and found one outside our hotel, but he didn't speak a lick of English and we are pretty sure he literally "took us for a ride" because it cost more than our trip when we first arrived in NYC and this driver took us over a toll bridge and the other one didn't, so that might be the difference. We didn't eat breakfast because we knew there were places to eat at the airport, but when we got there nothing really good, Salt Lake actually had the best choices as far as food goes airport wise. But, we did find a few things to eat while we waited, and then we were off. We had another layover in Minneapolis and then headed for Salt Lake in a brand new plane that had only been flying for 2 weeks, it was so nice. Amanda's inlaws picked us up with my car and they had their own car, so we just headed for home. We did stop at the mall for a few minutes for Justice and then we ate dinner at Cracker Barrel since we hadn't really eaten all day. And then went home. We were really glad to be home
