Ray's back surgery

He was so excited that I was taking his picture.  This was a really rough day!!! They had him in and out of surgery within 45 minutes.  I went back within a half hour and they released him to go home within the hour.  He was in so much paid when we left that it was so hard to watch, poor guy.  Then later that night he was throwing up which made it even worse.

This was the incision a few days after surgery, it still had some of the steristrips on it.

I am guessing this was about a week after surgery.  It really took him a lot longer to get up and get around than we thought it would take.  And it took even longer for him to actually lay flat in the bed and sleep there all night.  We were just really thankful it was covered by workmans comp and that he decided to do the surgery.  He is doing much better and has returned to work.  YAY.
