Bad day helpers

I had a REALLY BAD DAY AT WORK. The Escrow department, aka Heather, Danna and Jennifer brought me flowers. They are super good to me and make me feel like I belong, since that has been a struggle for me lately.

Festival Recital

It was festival time again and Kinlee was not super happy to be there. I think part of the reason is that she knew she hadn't worked as hard as she should have. She came out crying afterward thinking she had done a terrible job and sad because she messed up. Which was all in vain!! She got a total of 98 out of 100 on her pieces, so she did pretty good, I would say. I am sure she will practice more for the next one though. Silly kid!!

I took her to lunch afterward and she seemed a little happier, since we went to her favorite place, Pizza Pie Café.

Even though you can't tell we had the grandparents and Tyler over for dinner before the recital, Molly was busy helping a friend so she couldn't make it.

That night was Kinlee's recital. Her teacher talked to us about concert etiquette but I think that was before this picture. They were being quiet and I don't think they were disturbing anyone, but who knows, we will do better next time!!

Kinlee did a good job. She did say she goofed up a few times, but nobody could really tell. But, once again I am pretty sure she learned her lesson for not practicing like she should. She has come a long way in a few years and plays very well. We are all very jealous of her talent!!

I am obsessed

I am secretly obsessed with my dog, yup, you heard me right. I love this little guy, I know I am a freak!! Since Ray decided not to take him on the truck with him anymore, he has become my little buddy. Ray hates it by the way and I am a little concerned with myself also, but it is what it is.

Liam (our grandson) is also obsessed with him. They are so cute playing together!!

Okay, that is all I will not post dog pictures anymore for a while.

Aunt Verla's Birthday - Pictures Galore

First Disclaimer, for those who know....These aren't in perfect order...okay they are totally out of order but it was two days of fun filled days of family togetherness so I am not worried about order.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, I have the best Aunt in the whole wide world!! She is my dad’s sister and her name is Verla. She was the only daughter in their family with 5 brothers who were crazy wild, so maybe that is what made her so amazing. Anyway it was her 80^th birthday and they were having a party for her in Boise on Monday and we really wanted to go but knew Monday wouldn’t work for all of us. So, we decided we would surprise her and go on Saturday to Boise for her birthday. We worked things out with her amazing daughter Brenda and we were able to have dinner with most of their family and most of our family. All of us kids were able to go except Merrill and some of our kids. The boys took their wives, but all of us girls left our husbands at home. We had such a great time and the best part was how excited Aunt Verla got when she saw all of us there. She only thought mom and dad were coming so when she opened the door and saw all 20 of us standing there it was so worth going. The look on her face was priceless!! We stayed at her house and visited for a while and then we met her kids and their families that could come for dinner and then went back to the hotel so the kids could swim and Aunt Verla and Uncle Bob came to visit and brought us doughnuts for dessert. Then on Sunday we all went to church with her in Brenda’s ward and then we went to lunch and headed for home.
